Organic KSM-66® Ashwagandha 300mg with Black Pepper (60)

I was quite sceptical about this product as I have tried many others before and wasted my money as they just didn’t work for me. However, a month into taking Ashwagandha I am sleeping like a baby! I easily drift off to sleep and whereas I would wake in the middle of the night and struggle to get back to sleep, I do still wake but I now go back to sleep.

Best taken early in the morning. If I take one too late in the day it can keep me awake. Eventually sleep is restful. I find Sensoril is better for sleep.

A quality supplement. I've been taking ashwagandha for a few years because of its remarkable effects. It enhances physical and mental performance, improves sleep quality, and is loaded with nutrients that benefit the human body. It's an adaptogen (a substance that helps humans to adapt to stress - physical, mental, emotional and environmental). As I've said in many reviews before, three criteria determine the quality of any supplement: purity, potency and efficacy. Most supplement manufacturers would do well to pay attention to that; most supplements contain unnecessary (and often toxic) additives such as fillers, binders, flavourings, preservatives, sweeteners, etc. Supplements are not about flavour. They're about EFFECT. Period. This particular ashwagandha supplement from Royal Oak doesn't contain any unnecessary additives. A plus point for that. The ingredients are organic. Another plus point. It's also vegan friendly and therefore cruelty free. More plus points. What's in the capsules? The main ingredient is organic KSM-66 ashwagandha (the best ashwagandha on Earth: highest potency, highest bioavailability, most extensively researched and studied, plus it's a full-spectrum root extract) in an optimal dose. Next in terms of abundance is organic brown rice flour, a rich source of nutrients which act in synergy with ashwagandha. Organic black pepper is also included - an inspired addition. The piperine in black pepper radically increases the absorption of ashwagandha by the human body, so all quality ashwagandha supplements should include organic black pepper (sometimes labelled as piper nigrum) or piperine from black pepper. (Piperine has an even more dramatic effect on the human body's absorption of curcuminoids - the active ingredients in turmeric - so piperine is present in all the best turmeric/curcumin supplements.) The only other ingredient in these capsules is vege cellulose, from which the capsule shells are made. There's nothing to criticise. The manufacturer got everything right with this supplement. It satisfies all three criteria for a quality supplement: purity, potency and efficacy. And at £13.95 for a 60-day supply, it's good value too.

Firstly - please ensure that this supplement is suitable for you, it's so easy to just grab something and start taking it nowadays. I would say, especially the ones that are effective - they're effective for a reason. Not everyone is suited to them. So I always recommend doing your research, and at very least checking for any contra-indications as some can be surprising! Very impressed with this supplement. Ticks a lot of boxes from what I can see. KSM-66 which (to my understanding, please research) is a good quality Ashwagandha and a very specific type. Impressed with the manufacturing principles from what I can see also. That said, I don't have a lab to access to test everything of course. The dose isn't silly high, you have more control of what you're taking this way. I like that approach. Also, I wouldn't personally take this every day - I will take it as and when. There are other products with it in as well, so do be aware that often supplements will have other vitamins/minerals etc added. Which again, to its credit, this doesn't - other than some pepper (which is for absorption I think?) and the delivery ingredients. I have taken this myself and had no adverse reaction; again that's just myself. It isn't the cheapest, but KSM isn't in general. £13.99 for 60 capsules isn't too bad. Five-star quality supplement from all I can tell. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍

I can't really comment on how well these are working as it is early days for me but these seem good quality and are easy to take. You need 1 capsule a day so this is a 60 day supply and at £13.99 with a £2 voucher off, makes this worth a try. Ashwagandha has many benefits according to studies, the most talked about is the help in reduction of stress and anxiety so for many this would be a welcome supplement to try. As I said, early days in usage for me but I think I notice my moods are more level and have experienced no side effects so am happy to continue to the end of the bottle to decide if I will buy more.

I think this has helped my general wellbeing. I am feeling better than before- sleeping deeper and generally a little calmer. The pills smell ok and don’t repeat on me, and there’s a good supply for the price. I’m also lead to believe that this is a well bioavailable form compared to others, but obviously you just take it and hope for the best!

These tablets are a great size and form small to medium-sized capsules. The root contained in this capsule is KSM-66 full spectrum which is the most bioavailable version of ashwagandha which means it can be absorbed the fastest in higher concentrations. This is also the closest in containing the natural makeup of the herb. KSM-66 also is the most researched version so getting this is also the safer option. Other things to look for are the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory percentage (withanolides) and KSM-66 contains the highest amount. This product is the type of Ashwagandha you want to get as it contains the best form of the herb.

After taking these tablets for a few days I believe that they are having a beneficial effect on my mood and also on my sleep, I seem to get to sleep more easily and stay asleep for longer. I haven't noticed any difference to my stress levels. I am pleased to say that I haven't noticed any adverse effects from them so I will at least use the rest of the bottle and then decide if I will continue with them.

This is a great find, especially considering that low price for two months worth of capsules. I have been taking vitamins with Ashwagandha for some time now, but this brand offers a higher concentration of the ingredient, so I'm very happy with these. Personally, I feel as though this ingredient works for me so I'm more than happy to keep on purchasing these when my current supply runs out.

I've been taking of of these tablets a day for about a week (as directed). I haven't had any undesirable effects, but subjectively, I do think they're effective at generally lifting mood and improving the quality and duration of sleep. I intend to finish the bottle, and think they're worth recommending.

At a little over a tenner getting two months of this is pretty good value for money. You are getting 60 vegetarian capsules and if you stick to the recommended dosage of one capsule daily then this will last you two months. It clearly states this is a vegetarian product and judging from ingredients I am pretty sure it will be suitable for vegans also. The capsules are of typical size and easy enough to swallow. You get an extremely long expiry date of almost 3 years so there is plenty of time to use. The dosage of 300 mg is generous and the addition of black pepper is sensible. Overall I am pretty impressed.
